Wakamow Valley
Valley of Lights
The Wakamow Valley of Lights inaugural event was a great holiday drive-thru LED light show that showcased the Park’s beautiful outdoor space. With over 80 trees decorated and more than 100,000 lights, Wakamow Valley hosted over 10,000 people for this winter event in 2021.
This year, our goal is to expand our event into a spectacular Christmas light show that features custom designed lights displays intermingled among the Valley’s scenic landscape. The objective is not only to create a Christmas event for all of Moose Jaw to enjoy, but to build a growing tourism attraction for this region of the province.
Valley of Lights is our annual fundraising event for the park, with all of the money raised going to help support our 500-acre natural valley and recreation areas. Valley of Lights opens to the public on December 1, 2022 and closes on January 7, 2023 for Ukrainian Christmas.
We are extremely excited to present this year’s crown jewel – Henry, the 17-foot-tall illuminated moose! Henry was unveiled and featured in the 2022 Grey Cup Festival in Regina, SK from November 15 – 20, 2022.
