Wakamow Valley

Valley of Lights

The Wakamow Valley of Lights inaugural event was a great holiday drive thru event, showcasing our beautiful outdoor space with over 80 decorated trees and more than 100,000 led lights.    In this first year, Wakamow had over 10,000 people visit the event held December 6-31, 2021.  The Valley of Lights is our annual fundraising event for the park and all money raised goes to support the operations of our 500-acre natural valley and recreation areas.

Our goal is to grow the event into a spectacular Christmas light show featuring custom designed light displays intermingled among the Valley’s beautiful trees.

The objective is not only to create a Christmas event for Moose Jaw, but build a growing tourism attraction for this region of the province.

This year’s Valley of Lights event will begin on November 27th with a VIP night followed by a grand opening on   December 1, 2022 and closes the night of January 7, 2023 (Ukrainian Christmas). Wakamow is excited to present this year’s crown jewel for the 2022 Valley of Lights, an incredible 17-foot tall, illuminated moose.  Our moose will be unveiled and featured in the 2022 Grey Cup Festival in Regina, SK., November 15 -20, 2022.
