Bench Program
The bench program allows dedication of a bench to individuals or groups. Bench is dedicated for a 5 year period for the cost of $1,000.00, with the option of renewing dedication for $100.00 per every year thereafter. Benches are identified by a two-inch by nine-inch bronze plaque inscribed with a personal message. A map identifying existing benches is available upon request. Wakamow will determine future bench sites. Participants in the bench program will also be listed on the main donor cairn located at Plaxton’s Lake as Wakamow supporters.

Bridge Program
“Sometimes if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping slowly away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known” Winnie the Pooh
After the Assinaboine Bridge was destroyed in 1997, Wakamow Valley saw the opportunity to return to the direction of the 1979 Master Plan and the desire to link the valley with pathways. The plan will take at least four bridges and more than 9 kilometers of trails – it’s a great dream.
In 2011 the first part of the dream became a reality with the replacement of the Assinaboine Bridge and reparation to the Cree Bridge, thanks to the funding from the Federal Recreation Infrastructure Canada Program (RInC), Province of Saskatchewan, City of Moose Jaw and the generous donations of Bridge Builders. For a donation of $500.00 you can become a “Bridge Builder” and help finance the continuation of bridges to link the valley from Plaxton's Lake to Connor Park..
“When your heart is in your dreams, no request is too extreme.” Jiminy Cricket
